As your voice, I’ll focus on making our government more accountable, transparent, and ensuring our governing documents allow our leaders to operate in the most effective and efficient way possible.

About Justin

I’m a fourth-generation Pierce County resident who grew up in unincorporated Pierce County raising livestock, active in FFA, and deeply connected to the values of our region. My life has taken me from small towns to the heart of Tacoma, where I’ve lived for the past two decades. These experiences give me a unique and balanced perspective on the diverse needs of our communities.

Professionally, I’ve dedicated my career to public service and policy. I currently serve as the Executive Director and Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Washington State Transit Association, a role I’ve held since 2016. Prior to that, I served as the Government Relations Officer at Pierce Transit from 2011 to 2015. I also began my career as a teacher at Fife High School, where I taught from 2006 to 2009.

I hold a Master of Public Administration in Public Policy from The Evergreen State College, a Professional Teaching Certification from Washington State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education, also from WSU.

My passion for community extends beyond my professional work. In 2015, I was honored to serve on Tacoma’s Charter Review Commission. That experience, combined with over 15 years of public policy and government relations work, has prepared me to serve effectively from day one. I’m committed to ensuring that our government is transparent, accountable, and equipped to meet the needs of the people it serves—especially here in District 7.
